Lorne E. Berkeley is a Partner at the Law Firm of Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney. Mr. Berkeley began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, Florida. During Mr. Berkeley’s career as an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Berkeley tried several jury trials to verdict. The cases included many major felony prosecutions. After gaining trial and litigation experience at the Miami-Dade State Attorneys’ Office, Mr. Berkeley became employed with the Law Firm of Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney as an Associate and achieved partnership in 2004. Mr. Berkeley concentrates his area of practice in construction litigation including but not limited to architects and engineers’ errors and omissions, construction liens, and preparing contractual agreements for various construction related projects. Mr. Berkeley also represents clients before the Department of Business and Professional Regulations concerning Complaints against architects, engineers, and contractors. In addition, Mr. Berkeley practices in the area of commercial litigation including but not limited to business disputes and contractual disputes. Finally, Mr. Berkeley uses his experience as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County to now provide criminal defense services. While employed at Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney. Mr. Berkeley has successfully represented clients through jury trials as well as in Department of Business and Professional Regulations Administrative Hearings.
