Jesse M. Guerra was born in Matanzas, Cuba.  In 1995, Mr. Guerra received his Master of Architecture from The Catholic University of America.  He then received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University in 2006.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Guerra accumulated more than 12 years of experience in architecture, design, and construction administration throughout South Florida, the Northeast United States and Canada. Mr. Guerra also operated his own architectural consulting business. 

Mr. Guerra was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007, and serves as member of the American Bar Association, Forum Committee on the Construction Industry.  He has served with the South Florida Community Development Coalition, and has been a member of the FIU Community Development Clinic for matters involving non-profit community development corporations, condominium projects, as well as public and subsidized housing matters, and predatory lending.

Mr. Guerra’s practice focuses on commercial and construction litigation, design-professional liability, contract review and negotiation, and general insurance defense.   He is knowledgeable in all phases of design and construction from project inception through completion, and is experienced with local municipalities and School Districts as both a construction professional and a lawyer. 

Mr. Guerra is fluent in Spanish.
