Richard G. Daniels - born June 10, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Daniels received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Miami in 1973 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 1977.
Mr. Daniels was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1977 and has thirty one years experience in the professional liability claims area, specializing in the defense of architect/engineer/surveyor claims. Mr. Daniels was admitted to United States District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1978, admitted to the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida Trial Bar in 1982, admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit in 1980, and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit in 1982.
Mr. Daniels’ experience includes the representation of the largest Architecture and Engineering firms in the state of Florida, as well as numerous insurance companies in the area of design professional liability. Mr. Daniels has also served as special counsel in representing local government agencies in various construction litigation matters. Mr. Daniels is an allied member of the South Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has lectured before that organization on topics in the area of professional liability. Mr. Daniels has also been an invited speaker in the annual Victor O’Shinnerer invited attorneys meetings. Mr. Daniels is a registered AIA/CES Instructor/Provider and chairs the “Daniels Kashtan Annual Meeting and Presentation For Invited Design Professionals”, and has appeared five times as the featured speaker in the A.I.A. Sponsored television series ‘All About Architecture’. Mr. Daniels has also served on the Panel of Construction Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association since 1984.
