Michael F. Kashtan and Jose B. Rodriguez Invited To Join Council On Litigation Management

CORAL GABLES (June 8, 2011) - Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney P.A. is pleased to announce that managing partner Michael F. Kashtan and Jose B. Rodriguez have been invited to join the prestigious Council on Litigation Management. They join colleagues Richard G. Daniels and Jeffrey A. Albinson as members of the Council.

Selected attorneys and law firms are extended membership by invitation-only based on nominations from CLM Fellows.

The Council is a nonpartisan alliance comprised of thousands of insurance companies, corporations, Corporate Counsel, Litigation and Risk Managers, claims professionals and attorneys. Through education and collaboration the organization's goals are to create a common interest in the representation by firms of companies, and to promote and further the highest standards of litigation management in pursuit of client defense.

Kashtan has more than 25 years of experience in the practice areas of construction litigation, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, arbitration and mediation. He has represented numerous architects and engineers on issues ranging from simple contract disputes to multi-party construction disputes with claims of over $50 million dollars.

He has been an active member of the Florida Bar and is a member of the American Bar Association. He is also a participating member of the ABA's Forum of the Construction Industry. In addition, he regularly consults and lectures to the local AIA Chapter, as well as to other professional organizations, and along with the firm represents architects, engineers and developers throughout the State of Florida.

Rodriguez, a registered architect and member of AIA, concentrates his practice on defending architects, engineers, attorneys and surveyors throughout the State of Florida. Insurance companies retain his services to address professional liability claims asserted against their customers, and he counsels architects and engineers on effective risk management strategies for major projects.

In addition, he frequently lectures on professional liability issues that relate to design professionals, contractors and the impact which standard contract provisions may have on the relative exposure. Rodriguez is also “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
