Business Litigation

In our business litigation practice, we represent clients as plaintiffs and as defendants in a wide range of substantive commercial disputes over the construction and enforceability of complex commercial instruments and commercial agreements in all forms. We help clients analyze the risk and cost of litigation and the relative benefits of settlement or mediation to determine the resolution that best meets their business objectives.

Contract disputes - the firm is experienced with complex deal making in the transaction side of our practice, is extremely skilled in resolving disputes related to the construction and enforceability of complex commercial instruments. We represent a wide range of clients including institutional lenders in a variety of disputes with borrowers, Parties in domestic and international disputes over letters of credit and contracts for the sale of goods.

Real property - the firm handles a broad range of litigation in this area, including commercial landlord-tenant disputes, Arbitration and appraisal and valuation matters and other disputes involving real property. We have extensive experience in real estate arbitrations relating to valuation of land and determinations of fair market rentals. Another example is our work for a developer/owner in a dispute with a nationally known general contractor relating to the construction of a major office building.
